Tigerguardpro Gumshields were developed by Dental Technologists whilst working with professional boxers in the UK.
Paul O'Dea, the creator of Tigerguardpro personalised gumshields with Amir Khan back in the early days in Manchester
Paul, a native of Galway, trained and worked for over 20 years as a Dental Technician in Manchester. During his time there, the boxers he worked with demanded a mouthguard, or gumshield, that "fit like a glove" and was light in weight, yet offered the highest level of safety & protection required for professional boxing.
To meet the high standards required of the sport, he developed and perfected the design of his unique custom gumshields.

In 2014, Paul returned to Galway where he now offers his custom fit mouthguards to individuals and teams across all sports.
In a few short months, word of Tigerguardpro's unique gumshields has spread fast. Paul has moulded and designed gumshields for athletes across all codes, including GAA players, Rugby players, Hockey players and of course many Martial Artists.
According to Paul: "It has been a lot of fun developing Tigerguardpro Customuzed Gumshields because I get to meet some great individuals, many of whom are at the very top of their respective sports. I get a kick out of knowing that I have made a small contirubtion to helping them perform to the best of their potential."
