Why do I need a custom fit gumshield?
Proper Protection - The Irish, British and American Dental Associations recommend wearing a custom fit gumshield when playing contact sports and say that dental injury is reduced by at least 50% when custom fit gumshields are worn.
Over 1/3 of dental injuries in Ireland today are sports related
Better Performance - gumshields that fit properly allow for better breathing and communication whilst playing - essentially, you forget you are wearing it and you can concentrate on your game, not your gumshield.
What about the stock or "boil & bite" gumshields that you can buy in the shops?
These types of gumshields are a "one size fits all" solution. They do not fit your mouth properly, often need to be trimmed to fit, are bulky and can impede breathing. Because they do not fit properly, they often fall out when you try to speak, so are a hinderance to communication. They are mass produced and are preformed. They do not offer anything like the level of protection & performance that you get from a custom fit gumshield. Dentists do not recommend them, neither do the sporting bodies and we definelty give them a big thumbs down!

Yes indeed. We keep your mould on file here at our dental laboratory. You can order a replacement at any time without the need for another impression.
Do you offer discounts for bulk orders to schools & clubs?
Yes we do. We can also visit your club or school and organise for groups to use our self impression kits with the help of our expert dental technician. After visiting a club, we order your colours in bulk and stock so that your club members can avail of the discounted prices FOREVER. Please contact us to arrange appointments for your club or school.
